A word on star and star rating and classification for hotels and guest houses.

At some time in 2006, new ratings will come into place. Visit Britain, with co-operation from the AA and ETC, will simplify ratings. At present, Balincourt is called a small hotel, but as it has less than a certain number of rooms it may well be classified as guest accommodation in the future. This will obviously cause problems for 5 star guest accommodations that will no longer be able to use the term "hotel". For example, a small 5 star guest accommodation in Bournemouth may be classified as a 5 star guest house.
